blind leading...their own life, apparently

This morning: Attn blind fol & those who know them: if you see a visually impaired person tapping and bumping into things and you are either walking along with or near them, do you offer to help? I would THINK so..but I have been barked at and ju...st SAW someone get barked at b/c this person was INSULTED..."I CAN DO IT MYSELF!" GRRRR.... Geez, thrice bitten now don't know WHAT the hell to do. Any takers on this one?
